Watch Sarah Jessica Parker Lovingly Fix Husband Matthew Broderick’s Bow Tie on the Red Carpet

The couple spent date night at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala at Lincoln Center on Thursday

Sarah Jessica Parker is always going to help husband Matthew Broderick look his best on the red carpet.

While the couple was posing and smiling at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday night, the Sex and the City star, 58, sweetly adjusted the bow tie on Broderick’s suit, as seen in a video captured by PEOPLE at the star-studded event.

She then holds up one end of the long ribbon adorning her half-up hairstyle to the actor’s accessory before turning her attention back to the crowd while holding onto her beau's arm.

Parker and Broderick’s accessories weren’t the only chic parts to their coordinating black-tie looks.

The And Just Like That actress chose a standout Carolina Herrera confection, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a full tulle skirt, to coordinate with her mismatched black and nude high heels, a hot-selling style from her SJP shoe and accessories line.

Meanwhile, the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star, 61, opted for a classic suit, shiny loafers and his signature glasses.

The beloved Hollywood couple were recently the center of attention at the ATG summer party at Kensington Palace last September, where they were honored.

To celebrate, Parker and Broderick wore colorful cocktail attire — she in a flowy emerald green Elie Saab gown and her own matching heels, and he in a checkered gray suit, blue collared shirt, a patterned tie and loafers.

Both stars be heading across the pond in a few months for their upcoming West End show, Plaza Suite, which will mark Parker’s debut in London’s theater district.

After being together for nearly 30 years, Parker and Broderick — who were originally brought together by their love for theater and tied the knot in 1997— are still inseparable.

During a June interview on The Howard Stern Show, the fashion designer revealed that she and her husband have spent very few nights apart.

"We had our first official date on March 8 of 1992 and we’ve been together ever since," Parker told the host. "We have never spent a night apart since then, with the exception of work on location, or his mother was ill for a bit so he went to take care of her, but from that first night, we’ve never been apart.”

Parker and Broderick also share three children: son James Wilkie and twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell.
