Watch a Reporter Explain to Sean Spicer Why There Are No Hillary Questions (Video)
White House press secretary Sean Spicer received a valuable history lesson on Monday when he told reporters that a lot of things that need to get discussed aren’t getting proper coverage, because “The only headlines that people want to write are the ones that support a narrative against this administration.”
Spicer then cited something Trump suggested earlier in the day on Twitter — claiming, without presenting evidence, that the DNC did not let the FBI look at its server and that Hillary Clinton’s campaign colluded with a Russian official. He asked, “Why is that not being looked at?”
A reporter then shouted, “You won. You’re here.”

Spicer didn’t pay too much attention to his history lesson, quickly calling on the next reporter. He did find time to mock the New York Times, telling a reporter, “Your headlines are bad.”
“Our services are at the New York Times’ disposal when it comes to writing headlines,” Spicer said in a joking tone, offering to put his own stamp on the news outlet’s coverage. “We could probably do a couple things on stories, too, if you’re willing to go there.”
Throughout the briefing, Spicer echoed tweets Trump sent earlier in the day, standing firm that leaks are the real issue, as opposed to the Trump campaign having ties to Russia and claims that former President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.

Earlier on Monday, Trump took to Twitter to claim Democrats “made up” a story about Russia interfering with the election “as an excuse for running a terrible campaign.”
