The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is telling her story with Lifetime’s The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

The new docuseries features an exclusive interview with Gypsy before she was released from prison on Dec. 28, 2023.

Gypsy served eight years in prison for her role in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen by proxy, a form of abuse in which a guardian may seek attention or sympathy by making their child ill or exaggerating their illness.

The murder case made headlines at the time and has since been documented through various projects, but this will be one of the first times Gypsy tells her story.

"After a lifetime of silence, I finally get to use my voice to share my story and speak my truth,” Gypsy says in a trailer.

"As a survivor of relentless child abuse, this docuseries chronicles my quest for liberation and journey through self-discovery,” she says. “I am unapologetically myself and unafraid to expose the hidden parts of my life that have never been revealed until now.”

As the series premieres on Jan. 5, here’s everything to know about how to watch, including where it will be available to stream.
