Tenacious D are urging voters to “jump to the left” (and not step to the right) in next week’s election, via a ludicrously star-studded cover of “Time Warp.” For the “Rock-y the Vote”–themed cover of the campy Rocky Horror Show classic, Jack Black and Kyle Gass compiled video call-ins from senior Democrats Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg, musicians Phoebe Bridgers, Karen O, Peaches, and King Princess, and dozens more entertainers, including Eric André, Sarah Silverman, John Waters, Susan Sarandon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Reggie Watts, Ilana Glazer, and George Takei. Check it out below.

Tenacious D had planned to spend fall touring swing states across the country to encourage voter turnout. With plans for the “Purple Nurple Tour—Twisting Hard to the LEFT” canceled due to the pandemic, they opted to mix Halloween and election anxiety with the “Time Warp” cover. A limited-edition vinyl will be sold on the band’s webstore, with proceeds going to Rock the Vote

Last month, the duo appeared on Kimmel to give remote renditions of “Save the World” and “Post-Apocalypto Theme.”
