Could this be Latin music’s next It couple? In between giggles, Peso Pluma and Nicki Nicole got sweet and flirty while speaking to Rolling Stone on their first red carpet together at the 2023 Latin Grammys.

“I’m so happy to be accompanied tonight,” Nicole said coyly, referring to Peso.

“I’m supporting the queen!” Pluma joked.

Both artists are up for awards. “Ella Baila Sola” was nominated for Best Regional Mexican Song and is up for Song of the Year. Meanwhile, Nicole is competing for several awards, including Best Urban Music Album for Alma and Best Rap Song for “Dispara.”

“It’s the best album,” said Pluma.

“No, the best one is Génesis!” replied Nicole, pointing at her man.

“No, it’s Alma, 1,000 percent,” responded Pluma.

Pluma teased his performance of the night as he’ll take the stage to sing “Ella Baila Sola” alongside Eslabón Armado. “So happy to share the stage with them, but mostly here supporting the queen,” he said as Nicole covered her face.

“I will screaming the song. I didn’t bring a poster that says ‘Peso’ because the Grammys didn’t let me, but if not I would’ve brought a psoter and a bandana,” Nicole joked.

Nicole and Pluma shared that they were excited about being in Spain together, visiting places like Mallorca, Madrid, and Barcelona. Pluma also teased performances in Spain with “special guests” hinting at Nicole joining him onstage during those shows.

Nicole — who is featured on Pluma’s song “Por Las Noches” in February — broke down her album Alma in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year.

“I wanted to create something that you could see where I’m headed. I wanted this album to be so transparent and show every part of me,” she says. “We’re all 1,000 things at the same time. We’re always changing. It was about self-exploration. I felt like I wasn’t connecting with my soul.”
