At 74, Patrick Stewart is in the prime of his career, ruling the Internet, dispatching the latest X-Men news, and, oh yeah, acting.
In the above exclusive clip from the wry comedy Match, we get to see Stewart as a brazen Juilliard professor, recalling the free love era of the 1960’s: “That woman had more basic positions than Baryshnikov.”
Shot in documentary-style, Match focuses on a couple’s dissertation on the history of dance in ’60s New York. As they interview Stewart’s expert, it becomes clear the supposed scholars behind the camera have other motives.
Match, also starring Carla Gugino (Night at the Museum, Watchmen) and Matthew Lillard (She’s All That, Serial Mom), is in select theaters now.
