Stage and screen legend Ben Vereen has been a popular musical theater presence since the cult movie musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show was merely the cult stage show The Rocky Horror Show. So it’s only appropriate that he’s part of Fox’s new revival of Richard O’Brien’s rock ’n roll horror show, The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again. Premiering Oct. 20 at 8 p.m., the Kenny Ortega-directed film stars Ryan McCartan and Victoria Justice as Brad and Janet (dammit), two dorky lovers who wander into the home of sweet transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox) one dark and stormy night. Vereen plays science teacher Dr. Everett von Scott, who also shows up at the house searching for his missing nephew and instead finds an outré cabaret beyond his imagining.
