Watch Netflix Enlist Its A-List Stars to Announce Premiere of One Movie a Week in 2021
Never fear, skeptics of 2021: Netflix is here.
The streaming giant announced Tuesday (with a little help from some of its biggest stars!) that it would be releasing one a movie a week this year, giving previews of 27 such offerings.
Beginning with a hilarious exchange among Red Notice stars Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the nearly 3-minute preview also features the likes of Regina King, Halle Berry, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chris Hemsworth, Octavia Spencer and more.
"What I love about movies is that they can make you feel every emotion," King, 49, says during the segment for her Western The Harder They Fall, co-starring Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz and Lakeith Stanfield.
"I love showing people what a superhero can look like," says Spencer, 50, before an empowering shot from her Thunder Force film with Melissa McCarthy plays across the screen.

Other films previewed alongside their stars include Amy Adams' The Woman in the Window, To All the Boys: Always and Forever starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo and Hemsworth's Escape from Spiderhead.
"I love making a movie my whole family can watch," says Yes Day star Jennifer Garner, while Jason Momoa (Sweet Girl) adds, "I love movies that get you into the action."
After promoting their respective films Tick, Tick ... Boom! and Bruised, Miranda, 40, and Berry, 54, point at the camera and tell each other, "Jinx, you owe me a Coke!", as they'd each stated the movies were marking their directorial debuts.
"Oh my God, Halle Berry owes me a coke," Miranda says in shock.

One of the most anticipated Netflix films of 2021, which is also previewed in the streaming service's Tuesday video? Zendaya and John David Washington's Malcolm & Marie, which they secretly filmed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The rush to make the R-rated film reportedly began shortly after Euphoria creator Sam Levinson was informed that the hit HBO show's second season was shutting down production in mid-March due to the pandemic.
According to a report from Deadline, Zendaya phoned the director to see if he could write and direct a movie during the shutdown, and within six days he had the general structure of the film ready to go.
And fans won't have to wait too long, as Malcom & Marie drops on Netflix Feb. 5.
