The Good Place

NBC, 10 p.m.

The whimsical series will follow Eleanor (Bell) as she works to become a person who deserves to be there.

MOMMY ISSUES

Lucifer

Fox, 9 p.m.

In the season premiere, Lucifer should be helping Chloe investigate a murder, but he’s got a mommy on the brain because his mother, played by Tricia Helfer, has escaped from hell. Mommy dearest stood by while Lucifer was cast out of heaven, so we can assume Lucifer has a fair bit of mommy issues to work through. Read our preview of the new season here.
