Watch Mila Kunis Plummet From a Wire for 'Jupiter Ascending' (Exclusive)
That's no stuntwoman falling through the air at the 1:12 mark in the video above. That's Jupiter Ascending star Mila Kunis.
"I don't know if you're ever ready to be hanging on a wire 35 feet for 16 hours a day," says the 31-year-old actress in this exclusive behind-the-scenes extra from the upcoming Jupiter Ascending Blu-ray pack (on sale Tuesday). Kunis plays a lowly earthling who’s secretly intergalactic royalty, while Channing Tatum plays her half-wolf, half-human protector. Luckily, while filming the Wachowski siblings' sci-fi fantasy Kunis was surrounded by an expert rigging crew, the same people she worked with when she played the Wicked Witch of the West in 2013's The Great and Powerful Oz.
The footage also shows off some of the trickier stunts in the movie, including a sequence with Tatum’s stunt double who does Kunis one better, launching himself off a ramp on rollerblades without any safety wires.
