Watch Florence and the Machine Perform at Met Gala 2020 Special

On May 4, Florence and the Machine’s Florence Welch, Virgil Abloh, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, and more celebrated the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The “A Moment With the Met” livestream had a performance from Florence Welch, a DJ set from Abloh, and an address by Wintour. Watch Welch’s performance of “You’ve Got the Love” below.

“It would be impossible to recreate the gala on Monday evening, though I have loved hearing how so many are marking the occasion in their own ways,” Wintour said of the event. “So instead, I asked a few friends to join me for a simple moment—one that I hope will bring us all a bit of joy.” The livestream will look back at the rich history of the gala.

Florence and the Machine released their most recent studio album High as Hope in 2018.
