Three-time 2024 Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper stars in the biographical drama “Maestro,” playing storied composer Leonard Bernstein. The supporting cast includes Carey Mulligan (also nominated), Matt Bomer, Sarah Silverman, Maya Hawke, Zachary Booth, and Gideon Glick. “Maestro” has picked up a bundle of precursor nominations, but it hasn’t won many. That includes four Golden Globe nominations. The movie has also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations and seven BAFTA nominations. It was named one of the year’s 10 best films by the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review. 

On Tuesday, “Maestro” received seven Oscar nominations: Best Picture, Best Actor (Cooper), Best Actress (Mulligan), Best Original Screenplay (Cooper and Josh Singer), Best Cinematography (Matthew Libatique), Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Sound. The movie missed out on Best Director and Best Film Editing. Its strongest shot at a trophy is in Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
