Watch Lorde Cover Paul Simon’s 'Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard'

During her set at Outside Lands in San Francisco, Lorde covered Paul Simon‘s 1972 song “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard.” She was accompanied by her Melodrama collaborator Jack Antonoff, who played guitar and sang. Watch their rendition below (via Stereogum). Lorde subtly included Paul Simon on Melodrama. On the day of the record’s release, she tweeted that she sampled him on “Hard Feelings / Loveless.” This past April, she put Simon’s “Graceland” on her “Homemade Dynamite” playlist.
