There’s nothing like a good laugh — and a fake spell — to give the jitters a boot!

Fortunately for the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, resident funny guy Dan Fogler was on hand for comedic relief.

“Dan Fogler did keep us laughing pretty consistently with various spells that he invented,” Fantastic Beasts’ star Ezra Miller, 24, tells PEOPLE Now’s Andrea Boehlke. The young actor said that one of the spells was “Leornardo DiCaffinate,” which they used when they had “too many jitters” before filming.

“Leonardo DiCaffeinate is when you’re a little nervous about a scene and you’re like, ‘I don’t know, man, there’s a lot of pyrotechnics in this one,’ ” Fogler said with a laugh. He also has a counter-spell that can help hype up the energy before a scene. “The other opposite of that one is Alphonse Cappuccino!” the actor explains.

The film is the first of many upcoming Harry Potter spinoffs, and stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who loses track of the magic beasts living inside his Mary-Poppins-style briefcase.

“I had a lot of moments where I was doing on-camera work and Eddie was performing harder and with more intent than he had been in his coverage, simply to give me material to work with and respond to,” says Miller. “His reputation for being one of the kindest human beings in the universe comes from a very real place. And as a fellow actor, that generosity is constant.”

Miller adds, “[Redmayne] has the incredible capacity to not only be creating his immaculately conceived characters, but he’s also helping everybody else out. It’s not always the case and it’s an amazing gift.”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on Nov. 18.
