However, HBO has announced that clips of Last Week Tonight’s newest season will no longer be available on YouTube the day after they air. Instead, you’ll need to get a subscription to Max (formerly HBO Max).

How to Watch Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
New episodes of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver air only on Max. That will be the only place to watch any part of the show until clips of the episode arrive on YouTube the following Thursday. Max also has every previous episode of the show available to stream.
If you don’t have Max, you’ll want to sign up for a subscription to watch Last Week Tonight episodes right when they come out. Max offers four subscription tiers: With Ads, Ad Free, and Ultimate Ad Free. With Ads is, as the name suggests, supported by ads, costs $9.99/month or $99.99/year, and lets you stream on up to two devices at once.
