Kay Flock is keeping fans fed despite his legal troubles.
The 19-year-old drill rapper returned Friday with his new track “Make a Movie” and its official video. Assisted by fellow New Yorker Fivio Foreign, the cut finds the artists delivering the hard-hitting street rap bars they’ve each become known for.
“Clip ‘em, if he try to run when we slidin’, we hit him, like,” Flock spits in the first verse. “We tricked him, like Thottie she lined him, she got him, we blitzed him/Hang out the window, like I’m tryna Rick ‘em/Keep clickin’, I go wit’ the rhythm [...] I make sure I won’t miss him/He dead, now his homies miss him.”
“Make a Movie,” produced by A Lau and Elvis Beatz, arrives months after Flock unleashed “Shake It,” featuring Cardi B, Dougie B, and Bory300. The single has since garnered more than 75 million streams while its video has reached nearly 30 million views.
Flock, who is currently locked up on first-degree murder charges, is now preparing to release his documentary, Brotherly Love: The Kay Flock Story. The film will provide a closer look into the rapper’s rise to fame, and will include appearances by his friends, family, and hip-hop contemporaries. Flock has yet to announce the documentary’s release date.
You can stream “Make a Movie” now on all major platforms or watch its video, directed by RingRing Visuals, via YouTube above.
