A decade after Kate Winslet’s celebrated mini-series Mildred Pierce, she returns to HBO and the small screen once again for another juicy show and role. Free up your Sunday nights for the next few months, because you won’t want to miss this mystery series at 10 p.m. EST. Mare’s (Winslet) at a tough point in her life. She’s a faded high school basketball superstar who is struggling with a divorce, her son’s death, raising her grandson and her job as a detective in Easttown. Her ex-husband is getting remarried and is moving right down the street from her, and her daughter is acting out The Pennsylvanian town has been rocked by death of a teenage girl and a potentially related disappearance of another one. She also has her usual slate of unpleasant crimes to investigate.
