Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Starz is teasing Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3.

The network shared a trailer for the season Thursday featuring Mekai Curtis and Patina Miller.

Power Book III is a prequel and spinoff to Power, which had a six-season run on Starz. The show follows a young Kanan Stark (Curtis), played by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in the original series.

The trailer shows Kanan and his mother Raquel Thomas (Miller) clash as Raq tries to make amends and Kanan looks to find his own hustle.

In Season 3, "Kanan finds himself grappling with the very notions of right and wrong. Good and evil. Fidelity and disloyalty. And he's not alone. Every member of the Thomas family must confront an existential crisis that challenges their very identity," an official synopsis reads.

London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore and Omar Epps also star, with Tony Danza to reprise his role as mobster Stefano Marchetti.

Starz previously shared first-look photos for the season.

Power Book III is created by Sascha Penn and executive produced by Jackson and Courtney A. Kemp.

Season 3 premieres Dec. 1 at midnight on the Starz app and at 8 p.m. EST on Starz.
