Watch Justin Vernon Play a New Bon Iver Song in Isolation

Justin Vernon performed a new Bon Iver song during Bernie Sanders’ virtual town hall about the COVID-19 pandemic Saturday night. It’s called “Things Behind Things Behind Things.” Vernon also performed “Towers” “Blood Bank,” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “With God on Our Side” during the broadcast. Watch it all below. (Vernon’s performance starts around the 1:02:30 mark, and he plays the new song at 1:10:45.) Plus, see Soccer Mommy play “circle the drain” at the beginning of the video.

Earlier this year, Vernon stumped for Sanders at a rally in Clive, Iowa. Bon Iver’s 2009 Blood Bank EP was recently reissued for its 10th anniversary, following the release of the after band’s fourth album i,i last year.
