Watch 'Justified' Showrunner Graham Yost Lead an Awesome Tour of the Writers’ Room

Justified fans not ready to let the show go, today is your lucky day. Ahead of the Oct. 13 release of the complete series on Blu-ray and DVD, Yahoo TV has exclusive clips from two of the special features new to the collection.

Above, showrunner Graham Yost leads a tour of the writers’ room. He points out noteworthy décor, such as the cheeky photo of him that his former assistant had framed and hung on a wall and, even better, the pull-down shade his current assistant had made for his office doorway to make it clear to everyone — namely fellow executive producer Sarah Timberman — that he’s taking his daily nap and does not want to be disturbed. Yost wrote the screenplay for Speed, hence this:

(Yes, that is a Justified coffin, which we presume he addresses at another point during the tour.)

The other new featurettes include “Leaving Harlan Alive: Making the Final Season” and “Harlan Revisited: Favorite Moments,” in which cast members share their favorite scenes and memories. There’s also a “That’s a Wrap” gag reel and “In Elmore’s Words,” a collection of actors who’ve worked with Elmore Leonard reading passages from some of his most well-known works — including Justified’s Walton Goggins, who reads the climactic scene of Fire in the Hole, the Leonard short story upon which the series’ pilot was based. Watch the clip below and you instantly know why producers decided not to kill off Boyd Crowder at the end of the pilot as originally scripted. That melodic voice — we miss it.

Both the Blu-ray and DVD collections include more than 24 hours of previously released bonus material. But if you want to get the special Justified flask, you’ll have to splurge on the limited edition Blu-ray.
