Watch Joe Jonas & DNCE Have a Wild Food Fight in Gigi Hadid-Directed ‘Cake by the Ocean’ Video

Joe Jonas has moved past the days of the Jonas Brothers. The former Disney star and his new band DNCE — guitarist JinJoo Lee, drummer Jack Lawless and keyboardist/bassist Cole Whittle — released the video for their single “Cake by the Ocean” on Friday (Oct. 16), directed by Gigi Hadid and Black Coffee and featuring Instagram star The Fat Jewish.

Several announcers introduce the video as the annual DNCE International Cake Fight Championships before it cuts to Jonas, Lee, Lawless and Whittle dancing around on a small stage set up on the beach. They’re surrounded by a crowd of cheering fans, bikini-clad women oiling themselves up and a large slice of cake — large as in larger than the band itself. The championship begins and The Fat Jewish takes on the team of women as each side pelts the other with cake.
