Jim Harbaugh is pretty polarizing in the world of college football.

The Michigan coach is, to put it lightly, a unique guy. The way he does things rubs some the wrong way. But sometimes when we’re given a glimpse of Jim Harbaugh the man — separate from Jim Harbaugh the football coach — he shows he can be a pretty endearing, down to earth person.

His participation in a new video series titled “Suburban Drives Michigan” shows that side of Harbaugh.

In the video, Harbaugh shows host Jeffrey Phelps the Ann Arbor neighborhood where he grew up, tells the story of retrieving his bike from a thief, and even takes the sports car the two are driving for a cruise around Michigan Stadium.

Yes, really.

Don’t worry, this was before UM installed new turf at the stadium.

It’s a fun video that’s worth the 20-minute asking price.
