Jack Harlow has taken over Studio 8H.
The Louisville native returned to Saturday Night Live this week to serve as both host and musical guest. He is now the second star to pull double duty in the series’ 48th season, following Megan Thee Stallion’s Oct. 15 appearance.
For the music portion, Harlow kicked things off by bringing a medley of “Lil Secret” and “First Class.” He later performed “State Fair.” The songs appeared on Harlow’s sophomore studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, which arrived back in May.
The SNL gig will also give fans a taste of Harlow’s big-screen acting debut.
It was announced this year that he will star in the 20th Century Fox reboot of White Men Can’t Jump. Harlow spoke about the project during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, insisting the role wasn’t handed to him.
“You know, I did the work to get it,” he said. “I put the time in with the script. I sat with it. I considered things. I tried to be egoless during the audition, take notes, do what I had to do. I just want to kill it. I just want to be good and I want to do everything I can to make it good.”
