Watch: Hip Hop Trailblazers Digable Planets on Their Long-Awaited Reunion
It’s not just us who missed iconic 90s Hip Hop trio Digable Planets (Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler, Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, and Craig “Doodlebug” Irving). After disbanding in 1995, the group reunited in 2005, touring in advance of Beyond the Spectrum: The Creamy Spy Chronicles, a remix and B-sides compilation. Another hiatus followed, and the collective gave fans another brief reunion in 2011. It was radio silence until 2016, when the group announced a full-on summer tour, kicking off at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, WA. We caught up with the band after their DJ set on the VIBE stage at the Toyota Music Den at Sasquatch!, and found out, along with other revelations, that they missed each other too.
