Watch Hayley Atwell Tell Some Lies About 'Captain America: Civil War'
Hayley Atwell has a busy year ahead of her: Not only is she returning as the title character of ABC’s period drama Agent Carter, but she’s reprising her role as founding S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Peggy Carter in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Those who saw last year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier will recall that she appeared briefly as an elderly version of Peggy. So what’s in store for Agent Carter in Civil War? Yahoo Movies’ Khail Anonymous asked Atwell (along with her Agent Carter co-star James D’Arcy) for some inside info about the film — and got some pretty tricky answers. Watch the interview above!
To get the scoop on the top-secret plot of Civil War, we asked Atwell to play the game “Two Truths and a Lie.” Here’s what she gave us:
1. Peggy isn’t dead.
2. Captain America doesn’t wear any underwear.
3. Black Widow is Cap’s new love interest.
However, upon further prodding, Atwell revealed that two of those tidbits were lies. So which is the truth? Has Peggy survived for another film? Is Black Widow switching her affections from Cap to Hulk? Or will the next sequel be called Captain America Goes Commando? Stay tuned for more Comic-Con coverage, and maybe we’ll find out.
