Watch Green Day Discuss Anti-Trump AMAs Performance on 'Corden'

Billie Joe Armstrong: The AMAs “were a good start to challenge Donald Trump on all of his ignorant policies and his racism.”

By Matthew Strauss.

Green Day were the musical guests on last night’s episode of “The Late Late Show With James Corden.” Before playing their Revolution Radio single “Bang Bang,” the band chatted with Corden about their performance at the American Music Awards, where they chanted “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist U.S.A.!” They explained that it was an interpolation of punk band MDC’s lyrics (from their song “Born to Die”).

Billie Joe Armstrong added, “We’re just as much in shock as everybody else is about this. But I think with the AMAs, for us, it was a good start to challenge [Donald Trump] on all of his ignorant policies and his racism.”
