Fiona Apple Performs Fetch the Bolt Cutters Songs Live for the First Time

Fiona Apple appeared at The New Yorker’s virtual festival last night (October 10), where she spoke with writer Emily Nussbaum and gave a performance. During her set, Apple played tracks from her new album Fetch the Bolt Cutters, some for the first time ever. Watch Apple perform “I Want You to Love Me”—previously performed in 2013—“Shameika,” and the title track with a small ensemble of musicians here. Watch her whole interview and performance at The New Yorker.

Following the release of Fetch the Bolt Cutters in April, Fiona Apple appeared for a rare interview on Democracy Now!, contributed to Bob Dylan’s new album Rough and Rowdy Ways, penned music for an Apple TV+ show called Central Park, and more. In August, Apple narrated a short film about how to safely document and record U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests.
