Watch festive first trailer for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series holiday special

Thanksgiving hasn't arrived yet, but that isn't stopping High School Musical: The Musical: The Series from getting into the holiday spirit early! The Disney+ series just released its first trailer for the upcoming special and it's full of the festive cheer everyone needs right about now.

The holiday special stars Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr, and Kate Reinders as themselves — not as their characters from the show — as they sing holiday songs, share their childhood holiday memories, best and most embarrassing gifts, favorite traditions, family photos, and more. Plus, Bassett will perform the season 2 song he wrote titled "The Perfect Gift," which fans can hear a sneak peek of in the trailer below.

The soundtrack for the holiday special (called — what else? — High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special: The Soundtrack) will be available Friday, Nov. 20 on all major music services and streaming platforms. High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special premieres Dec. 11 on Disney+.
