Watch: Ewan McGregor appears in 'Gentleman in Moscow' first look

Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Showtime released a teaser and photos for A Gentleman in Moscow on Wednesday. The show premieres March 31 at 9 p.m. EDT.

Ewan McGregor plays Count Alexander Rostov in the adaptation of Amor Towles' novel. After the Russian Revolution, Rostov is sentenced to remain in the attic of the Hotel Metropol.

The brief teaser shows McGregor looking out the window, before turning to face the camera. No dialogue is spoken.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, McGregor's Fargo costar and real-life wife, also stars. A Gentleman in Moscow will be eight episodes.

Showtime is now part of Paramount+. Streaming subscribers will be able to view the premiere early on March 29.

The cast also includes Alexa Goodall, Johnny Harris, Fehinti Balogun, Leah Harvey, Paul Ready, John Heffernan, Lyès Salem, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Dee Ahluwalia and Anastasia Hille.

McGregor also executive produces with showrunner Ben Vanstone along with Towles, Sharon Hughff, Pancho Mansfield and Xavier Marchand. Sam Miller and Sarah O'Gorman direct with Miller also an executive producer.
