Watch Eddie Murphy Slo-Mo Walk Into Studio 8H in First Promo for His ‘SNL’ Return (Video)
Eddie Murphy is back at “SNL.” He’s just taking his sweet time in getting to Studio 8H.
NBC dropped the first promo for Murphy’s long-awaited return this Saturday, which features Murphy walking in slow motion like a rockstar to the studio. Pretty simple and it’s set to the tune of “Cuz I Love You,” which is from Lizzo, who happens to be the musical guest this week.

This will be Murphy’s first time hosting “SNL” since he left the show in 1984. He was last seen on the show for a brief appearance on the 40th anniversary special, “SNL 40,” in 2015. Murphy is in the middle of a comeback with his Netflix film, “Dolemite is My Name” and will return as Prince Akeem in “Coming 2 America,” the sequel to his 1988 comedy. That film will be out next December.
This week’s episode is the last one of 2019.
