Glover surprised the high school crowd with his Childish Gambino single “This Is America”

Chance the Rapper held an Open Mike Chicago event tonight, and he surprised the high school crowd by bringing out Donald Glover to perform his new Childish Gambino single “This Is America.” Watch a snippet below. That song came with a politically charged music video, and unseated Drake’s “Nice For What” to become No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Last year, Glover said a collaborative mixtape with Chance would “probably” happen. The two artists have worked together many times in the past, including Gambino’s Royalty track “They Don’t Like Me,” Chance’s Acid Rap track “Favorite Song,” and Gambino’s Because the Internet track “The Worst Guys.”
