It all started in 2007, with the well-received Spanish horror movie REC, wherein a TV reporter and cameraman find themselves trapped in an apartment building, fighting off residents infected with a demonic virus. Two years later, audiences followed a new set of professionals into the freaky, now quarantined building in REC 2.
In REC 3: Génesis, the gore and dread are uninvited guests to a wedding reception held in a mansion.
The latest installment in the shaky-cam franchise — REC 4: Apocalypse — takes place on an oil tanker, as seen in this exclusive red band trailer (above), here first on Yahoo Movies. Watch it only if you have a strong stomach.
