Watch: Czech player makes extremely generous assist
Suffice it to say the world would be a much better place if we were all as unselfish as this guy.
They say you should always shoot your shot, but Michal Vondrka did just the opposite during a recent Czech Extraliga contest — giving up a sure goal to assure teammate Roman Chlouba could pad his stats just a little bit.
Michal Vondrka poté, co přenechal gól Romanu Chloubovi: „Přišlo mi zbytečné, abych dal gól sám.“ Tomu se říká kapitán (Amerika) s velkým „K“. #TELH #CHMvZLN pic.twitter.com/gpK6fERG6P

With Pirati Chomutov leading 1-0 and the opposition’s netminder pulled for the extra attacker, Vondrka pounced on a turnover at centre and busted in on a breakaway toward the open cage. The captain then did as captains do, screeched to a dead stop at the top of the crease before leaving the puck for Chloubovi, who graciously deposited the post-Christmas offering for his sixth tally of the season.
Find someone who likes assists more than goals, and never let them go.
