Common was the musical guest on last night’s episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” which featured a lengthy interview with former First Lady Michelle Obama. Common performed his Black America Again track “The Day Women Took Over,” which makes reference to revolutionary black women such as Rosa Parks, Oprah, Beyoncé, and Mrs. Obama herself. Watch the performance, which Michelle Obama helped Colbert introduce, below.

Common released Black America Again back in 2016. His 2002 LP Electric Circus saw a reissue last year.
