Watch 'The Circle' stars Joey Sasso and Shubham Goel show off their emoji translation skills

In Netflix’s social media reality show The Circle, contestants Joey Sasso and Shubham Goel not only nabbed first and second place in the competition, respectively, they also fostered an adorable bromance that has continued even after the show wrapped. The two pals recently competed on the latest episode of Reality Star Showdown, and in keeping with The Circle’s text-heavy premise, went head to head in a game of Can You Speak Emoji? Goel and Sasso each had ten seconds to translate an emoji-laden sentence to English. If they failed, then they had to open a nearby black box and eat or drink whatever’s inside – and the options ranged from stinky cheese to sour candy. At first, things did not look good. Goel had to down a cup of apple cider vinegar (Sasso noted, “I drink that in the morning, it’s good for cutting fat.”) and Joey was punished by chugging a cup of sliced jalapeños. But as they got warmed up, both players successfully translated their emoji phrases and even learned a few things on the way. One clue used an emoji of a baby kangaroo, a joey, to which Goel said, “Oh wow, I didn’t know that.” Each week on Yahoo Entertainment, sit down with your favorite reality stars and get the scoop in the best way we know how — trivia!
