Watch Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor Honor Christina Grimmie in Touching Concert Tributes
The late Christina Grimmie’s friends and fellow artists are keeping her memory alive.
The 22-year-old former Voice contestant was shot and killed during a post-concert meet-and-greet on Friday night, and on Saturday, Charlie Puth fittingly dedicated his hit song, “See You Again,” to the late singer.
“I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight,” an emotional Puth said during his performance at the BLI Summer Jam in Wantagh, New York. “I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that.”

Puth’s “Marvin Gaye” collaborator, Meghan Trainor, also took some time out of her own performance during her slot at BLI Summer Jam. The “Me Too” singer dedicated her performance of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” to Grimmie.
“So, if you will, please sing it with me as a shoutout to our girl Christina,” Trainor said. “This one’s for her. Let’s sing nice and loud.”
“We love you @therealgrimmie ❤,” she also captioned a video she posted of the touching moment on Instagram.
Trainor and Puth aren’t the only singers honoring the YouTube sensation. Fifth Harmony took a moment in NYC to reminisce about meeting Grimmie, calling her “so humble.”
