Watch Bush Revive ’90s Hit ‘Glycerine’ on ‘Fallon’

Not to be outdone by No Doubt’s reunion announcement, Bush stopped by The Tonight Show to perform their 1994 single “Glycerine.” Frontman Gavin Rossdale appeared on the late-night show ahead of the band’s upcoming greatest hits tour, showcasing the grungy song with a string quartet (and, oddly, no other musicians).

Bush will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year with a 32-date North American tour dubbed Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour. The trek will kick off on July 26 at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, OR, and will feature special guests Alice in Chains guitarist and solo artist Jerry Cantrell and Candlebox. The tour follows the release of Loaded The Greatest Hits 1994-2023, which dropped in November.

The rock band’s most recent LP, The Art of Survival, arrived in 2022, following their 2020 effort The Kingdom. In 2021, the band was set to tour with Stone Temple Pilots, but were forced to cancel the co-headlining run due to “unfortunate and unavoidable Covid-related circumstances.” The group got back on the road in 2022.

In December, Rossdale confirmed he has begun work on a new Bush album. During a radio appearance, the frontman said, “I’m really enjoying writing. I feel like I’m really writing better than ever. And it’s a bit like when I was beginning in Bush and every song I wrote — I was very young and every song was a learning experience with music, on a very pure level; I was always learning something by writing a song in a specific way. And I think whilst it’s still a bit mysterious to me and elusive and difficult, like the best women, I feel better than ever at what I do, and respecting the craft and understanding it and trying to create great things for people to enjoy. So I’m really excited about the next record.”
