Brothers Osborne stopped to chat with Billboard’s Taylor Weatherby on the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday (June 6) in Nashville, speaking about the “Pardi B” photo they posted of Jon Pardi and touring with Dierks Bentley and LANCO.

Having recently posted a picture to Instagram with Pardi’s head photoshopped onto Cardi B’s body, the duo were asked how that came about. “So we’re playing with Dierks Bentley,” explained John Osborne. “His bass player Cassady Feasby is one of our best friends from a long, long time ago. He texts me ideas. I’ve seen these things on Instagram for a long time and he goes, ‘Jon Pardi B’ and I was like, ‘Dude, that’s hilarious…but drop the Jon, just Pardi B.’”

“And so I went on there and I found a picture I have to admit, it was one of the better ones that we’ve done and I was crying with laughter after I made it,” he continued. “I was like, ‘I don’t know if I should post it,’ so I sent it to Jon first, and he replied with a big ‘LOL’…He’s a good sport, he doesn’t take himself seriously.”

The brothers also discuss their tour with Dierks Bentley and LANCO and were asked if there have been any recent pranks pulled. “Not really any big pranks,” responded T.J. Osborne. “However, being around Dierks and just his whole camp in general, they don’t take themselves too seriously at all, so it’s just always fun and lighthearted all the time. It feels like a prank could happen at any moment.”
