Country star Brett Eldredge made history and released a new song about “those big moments in life” all at the same time.

In an exclusive sneak peek video discussing his new single “Wanna Be That Song,” Eldredge is seen playing baseball on Chicago’s Wrigley Field, the first time that a music video has ever been filmed in the baseball stadium.

“I grew up going to games here. I grew up listening to the games on the radio thinking, ‘Wow, I wish I was there. I felt like I was there when I heard them on the radio,'” the musician says in the 2-minute clip. “‘Wanna Be That Song’ is all about those big moments in life. A lot of my big moments in life, they’ve involved this place and this city.”

Eldredge says the concept for the video came to him while watching performers on a stage. “I wanted to capture that feeling of when I first saw people on stage that thought, ‘God, I wish that I was on that stage. One day I’m going to play on that big stage.'”

“I love that whole thought of the hope and the fight that you have inside you and the dream that you have in your heart that you chase it down,” the singer continued.

Though Eldredge admits “‘I’m not that great at baseball,”  he wanted the focus to be on a boy growing up and going through life’s big moments, including playing baseball on the historic field.

“There’s a special moment where I wanted to be able to do the whole walk of life from first, to second to third to home — from all those big moments in you life,” Eldredge said. “This song is all about those big moments,” he continued, calling first base a first kiss, second base as getting married, and third base as having children.

“When the bleachers are crowded, when everybody is looking down on the game and down on your life, when everything is packed and the pressure is on, I wanna be that song that gets you high and gets you through everything,” the country star said. “Everybody needs that person and I want to be that person for somebody someday; and that’s what I want to do with my music.”
