Watch Brad Pitt Return to the WWII Battlefields in an Exclusive Clip from 'Fury'

The last time we saw Brad Pitt in military fatigues, he was making Nazis wish they’d never been born as Lt. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s revisionist thriller Inglourious Basterds. Pitt plays another Southerner fighting World War II in the upcoming film Fury, and from this exclusive clip, it’s safe to say that his Staff Sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier is cut from the same cloth as Lt. Raine.

Wardaddy and his four-man platoon (played by Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal) already have the odds stacked against them as a skeleton crew behind enemy lines in the waning days of the conflict. So when news comes that an SS battalion is on the way, his men don’t take kindly to Wardaddy’s insistence that they stay put and fight, especially given their tank is on the fritz.

But hey, you don’t get a nickname like “Wardaddy” by running. You can see what happens next when Fury opens in theaters Oct. 17.
