Billie Eilish on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, May 2024 (Scott Kowalchyk/CBS ©2024 CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved.)

Billie Eilish was the musical guest on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. She performed her Hit Me Hard and Soft single “Lunch” with help from her brother, Finneas, and additional backing musicians. Eilish also joined Stephen Colbert for an extensive interview beforehand, in which the two discussed her new album, shooting the cover art, surrounding herself with music as a kid, and more. Watch it all go down below.

Eilish has also released “L’amour de Ma Vie (Over Now Extended Edit),” a new version of a song from Hit Me Hard and Soft, for fans “to dance in the club to.” It features 1980s-inspired instrumentation, a faster tempo, and Eilish singing through a vocoder.

Hit Me Hard and Soft is Eilish’s third album and first full-length in three years, following 2021’s Happier Than Ever. Eilish decided to refrain from releasing any singles or doing a promotion cycle ahead of the record’s release. So far, “Lunch” is the only song from the album to get a music video. This autumn, Eilish heads out on a massive tour in support of her new album, which brings her to North America, Europe, and Australia
