Watch Billie Eilish’s Not My Responsibility Short Film From Her Canceled Tour
At the opening night of her 2020 tour in Miami, Billie Eilish played a short film with a spoken-word track addressing public perception and opinion of her body and clothing choices. Today (May 26), she released that film, titled Not My Responsibility. Check it out below.
The video features Eilish slowly removing layers of clothing before sinking into a dark, viscous liquid that consumes her. “Do you have opinions?” she asks in a voiceover. “About my opinions? About my music? About my clothes? About my body?” She closes the film with the line “Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?”
Eilish was forced to postpone much of her North American tour due to coronavirus. She's since done several livestream events, including the Lady Gaga-curated One World: Together At Home concert.
