Watch: Ayo Edebiri, Shamon Brown Jr., more reprise 'Ninja Turtles' roles

Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Paramount+ released a teaser and photos from the upcoming Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. The show will be on the streaming service this summer.

Voice actors from the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem reprise their roles. Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon play the turtles and Ayo Edebiri plays April O'Neil.

The teaser shows the aftermath of the movie in which the turtles were revealed to the citizens of New York as heroes. They battle robots in the 30-second clip.

The show boasts two-dimensional renderings of the turtles though still mimics the film's array of background styles.

Nickelodeon and Point Grey Pictures are producing the show for Paramount+.
