He played “Sorry” and teased a new album as Grande headlined the closing night

Last Sunday, Grande brought out few surprise guests, including *NSYNC (sans Justin Timberlake), and Nicki Minaj. Sadly, Grande’s duet with Minaj was plagued by sound issues (as were many other performances during the festival’s opening weekend).

Grande’s thank u, next arrived earlier this year. Since then, she’s won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 61st Grammys for her 2018 release Sweetener, and dropped a joint track with Victoria Monét called “Monopoly.”
