When asked about his new podcast, Samberg replied, "Oh, man, it sucks so bad, Jimmy, you’ve gotta check it out."

Seth Meyers found himself being interrupted by one very familiar heckler last night — and it wasn’t even during his own show.

The Late Night host appeared on Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the new podcast that he co-hosts with the Lonely Island comedy trio when someone suddenly shouted that “podcasts suck." The camera then panned over to reveal Lonely Island member Andy Samberg standing amongst host Jimmy Kimmel’s live band with a French horn in hand.

“Nobody cares! Podcast suck!” Samberg yelled. “Literally everyone has a podcast now!”

“I’m so sorry, I knew this was gonna happen,” a disappointed Meyers told Kimmel. “He really hates podcasts.”

When Kimmel asked how Samberg even got there in the first place, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum revealed that he took a very... interesting route to get to set that day.

“Well, I was down the block at the wax museum as I am every Monday just, you know, checking out my favorite waxies,” Samberg explained. “I’m not sure if you know this, Jimmy, but you have one there, a figurine. Do you know that if you pull down their trousers and climb into the butt, you go down a slide and it takes you to a tunnel that leads directly to your studio?”

The same can’t be said if one hops into the butt of Meyers’ wax figure. “When you climb into your butt, you just come out of the mouth and it scares people,” Samberg told Meyers. “It looks like a billboard for American Horror Story. Andyways — that’s how I say anyways — back to the heckles: podcasts suck!”

Meyers then attempted to pivot back to the premise of the new podcast, which spurred Samberg to join the interview in order to give his two cents on the project. When no chair was provided for him, the comedian simply pulled out his own backpack chair and got cozy between the two late-night hosts.

“We’re all friends, Jimmy!” Samberg declared. “It’s weird to see you guys together, I’m not gonna lie!”

He also didn't hold back his thoughts on the podcast, which looks back at all of the Lonely Island's Saturday Night Live shorts. “Oh, man, it sucks so bad, Jimmy, you’ve gotta check it out," Samberg said, to which a laughing Kimmel responded, “That doesn’t seem like a great reason to listen to it.”

“It is a great podcast,” Meyers maintained. “Andy, I’ll be honest, he doesn’t like the art form of podcasts, but he’s very good on the podcast and we talk about the very fun times we had together at SNL.”

Samberg added that he was “dragged kicking and screaming” to the project and was “told there’s going to be a massive payout” for his time. “Here’s the thing about podcasts: even though they suck, ours is great,” he later noted. “You’ve gotta check it out!”
