Ferguson won a Tony award for his starring role in the revival of Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out, winning in the best performance by an actor in a featured role in a play category. Meanwhile, Goldsberry, who can currently be seen in the Netflix comedy Girls5Eva, won a Tony and a Grammy for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton.

Ariana DeBose returns as host for the 77th annual Tony Awards, which will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at New York City’s Lincoln Center on Sunday, June 16. The ceremony will air live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS. It’ll also be available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., airing live and on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers and the next day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers.

Last year, the Tony Awards saw historic wins for Alex Newell and J. Harrison Ghee. Kimberly Akimbo was the top winner of the night, taking home five awards, including best musical. The ceremony was unscripted, as it was held during the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, and the union did not grant the Tony Awards a waiver but agreed not to picket the event.

The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
