EXCLUSIVE: Straight off her second Primetime Emmy win for HBO’s The White Lotus, Jennifer Coolidge is boarding Warner Bros/Vertigo/Legendary’s feature take of the Minecraft video game that is shooting in New Zealand.

She joins the posse already in place for the big screen take of the Mojang/Microsoft game which counts Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen. Jared Hess directs the Legendary co-financed production which is also from Momoa’s On the Roam.

Producers include Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Momoa, Torfi Frans Olafsson, Vu Bui and the late Jill Messick. EPs are Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza and Jonathan Spaihts. Scribe credits are still being determined on a story that’s being kept underground.

Minecraft is the bestselling video game of all time with 300 million copies sold and nearly 140M monthly active players.

She won Supporting Actress for a Limited series at the Emmys on Sunday for her reprise of kooky rich, vacationing lady, Tanya, on White Lotus. Her feature credits include Legally Blonde, American Pie, Oscsar winner Promising Young Woman, and the Christopher Guest pics A Mighty Wind and Best in Show. She also stars on the Netflix Ryan Murphy series The Watcher. She will next be seen starring in Riff Raff opposite Ed Harris, Pete Davidson and Bill Murray.
