Spring break is almost here and it's time to start planning how to spend a week away from computer screens and textbooks.
Only a few hours away, there are several nearby destinations to enjoy a new scene outside of Oklahoma.
Branson, Missouri
Branson, Missouri is about a 4-5 hour drive from Oklahoma City. Known for its live entertainment scene, Branson offers several family-friendly places to visit at several price points.
Things to do in Branson
You can reserve general admission tickets to the Titanic Museum, 3235 W 76 Country Blvd for $35 at Box Office rates. The Titanic Museum is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day during spring break.
Pose for a picture with your favorite celebrity at the Hollywood Wax Museum, 3030 W 76 Country Blvd A. All access passes range from $37 to $40 for ages 12 and up.
If you're looking to spend some time outdoors and in the cool water, plan to visit Splash Country Indoor & Outdoor Waterpark, 1945 76 Country Blvd. The water park is offering a Spring Break package valid March 7 to May 22.

The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center sits on 170 acres of land at 8300 Wells Lake Road in Fort Smith. Spartan Adventure Park, 7601 Rogers Ave., offers an indoor trampoline and adventure park with a ninja course, dodgeball arena, kids' zone and more. Admission packages range from 60 to 120 minutes for $20 to $30.
