It’s the Great Pumpkin, Cincinnati! Er, rather, lots of pumpkins, featured at locally-owned pumpkin patches and fall festivals around the area.

Are you looking for places to celebrate the beginning of fall? We put together a list of local pumpkin patches, apple orchards and everything in between, from Fall Family Fun Weekends in Hamilton to Fall on the Farm in Loveland. Here’s where you can find your Great Pumpkin, in whatever color, size or shape that might be.

Bethel: U-pick pumpkins

  • Simmons Farm, 3020 Schaller Road.

  • Sept. 30 through Oct. 29 on Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

  • Simmons Farm’s fall festival returns this year, offering pumpkin patches, hay rides and corn mazes for folks of all ages to enjoy.

Dry Ridge: Pumpkin patch and fall festival

  • Country Pumpkins, 1835 Sherman Mount Zion Road.

  • Country Pumpkins Fall Festival runs from Sept. 9 through Oct. 30. Open every day but Tuesday.

  • Admission ranges from free to $22 per person for a Fun Pass activity package. Hayrides and barrel train rides are available Friday nights from 5-7 p.m. and weekends only. U-pick hayrides allowing patrons to cut their own pumpkins off the vine are available Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 9-24.

Evendale: Fall Farm Fun Days, Sunflower Festival

  • Gorman Heritage Farm, 10052 Reading Road.

  • Fall Farm Fun Days, featuring pumpkins, hayrides and farm animals, runs Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, Oct. 14-15 and Oct. 21-22. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors.

  • Gorman Heritage Farm will also host its annual Sunflower Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 7-8, featuring cut-your-own sunflowers, food trucks, craft vendors, mule-drawn wagon rides, live music, a crop maze and more. Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. At the door price is $15 for adults and $8 for children and seniors.

Hamilton: Fall Family Fun Weekends

  • Brown's Family Farm Market, 11620 Hamilton Cleves Road.

  • The farm’s Fall Family Fun Weekends run from Sept. 16-17 through Oct. 28-29.

  • Weekend festivities include a u-pick pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn maze, straw maze, farm animals, picnic area, play village and farm displays.

Harrison: Pumpkin Festival

  • Weber's Farm Market, 6007 Kilby Road.

  • This year, the Pumpkin Festival is Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Arts and crafts exhibitors, live music, live demonstrations and activities for children. Pumpkins will be available for sale and are priced by size. Admission is $7, and kids 12 and under are free. Only cash is accepted at the admission gates.

Hebron: Apple orchard and pumpkin patch

  • McGlasson Farms, 5832 River Road (Route 8).

  • U-pick apple orchard opened Sept. 1 and is open daily through October. No admission fees or reservations are necessary. Half a bushel bag (typically holds 60-65 medium-sized apples) will be $30. U-pick pumpkin patch opened Sept. 15 and is also open daily through October. Pumpkins are priced at 50 cents per pound.

Lebanon: Carmel apples, pumpkins and more

  • Hidden Valley Orchards, 5474 N. Ohio 48.

  • Hayrides and pumpkin patch opened Sept. 23-24. Carmel Apple Days run Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Great Pumpkin Days run Oct. 7-8, with details coming soon. Pumpkin Donut Days are Oct. 14-15.

Lebanon: Pumpkins, corn maze and hayrides

  • Iron's Fruit Farm, 1640 Stubbs Mill Road.

  • Corn maze, pumpkin patch and hayrides available starting the weekend of Sept. 23-24 through every weekend in October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pumpkins will be sold for 59 cents per pound.

Liberty Township: Fall fun

  • Niederman Family Farm, 5110 Lesourdsville West Chester Road.

  • Running Sept. 22- through Oct. 29. on Thursdays through Sundays.

  • Activities include a corn maze, wagon ride, climbing web and more. U-pick pumpkins priced at 50 cents per pound. General admission tickets are $15 online, $19 at the gate and children 2 and under are free.

Loveland: Fall on the Farm

  • Blooms and Berries Farm Market, 9669 S. Ohio 48.

  • Running Sept. 16 though Oct. 31 daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Things to do include hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkins available to purchase, a beer garden, petting farm, bakery treats and more. Those interested in visiting are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online.

Melbourne: Fall Fest

  • Neltner’s Farm, 6922 Four Mile Road.

  • Fall Fest runs Sept. 30 through Oct. 31 and includes a u-pick pumpkin patch, corn maze, horse-drawn wagon rides, seasonal apples and more. The festival runs weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with no admission fee, and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a $7 admission fee for those ages 3 and older.

  • U-pick pumpkin patch and hayrides available daily through Oct. 31. The Annual Harvest Fest arrives Sept. 30, featuring food trucks and live music.

Middletown: Fall on the farm

  • Jackson Family Farm, 6780 W. Alexandra Road.

  • The Jackson Family Farm Festival opens Sept. 24 and continues through the next four October weekends.

  • Admission is $15 per person (cash only), and children 2 and under are free. Pumpkins are available to purchase, and activities include farm animals, a corn barn, corn maze and more.

Midland: U-pick apples

Milford: Pumpkin Times

  • Shaw Farms, 1737 Ohio 131.

  • Pumpkin Times begins the third weekend of September and continues through Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, weather permitting.

  • General admission is free, with select ticketed activities, such as horse-drawn hayrides and pedal karts. Pumpkin cost depends on size and variety.

Newtown: Fall Fun at the Farm

  • Burger Farm & Garden Center, 7849 Main St.

  • Fall Fun at the Farm runs Saturdays and Sundays, starting the last weekend in September and every weekend in October, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Activities include a hayride, Pumpkin Land, challenge course, barnyard games, puppet show, mini zip lines and more. Entry is $15 per person, $12 for seniors 65 and older and free for children 2 and younger. Special events in October include Witches’ Night Out on Oct. 6 and Family Night Out on Oct. 13, with tickets available online and at the door.

  • Corn mazes, sunflower fields, scarecrow search, farm animals and other fall activities available starting Sept. 23 through Oct. 31. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hayrides available on weekends for $10 per person. General admission is $6 per person.

Springboro: Pumpkin patch, baked goods

  • Kleather's Pumpkin Patch, 90 W. Central Ave.

  • Opened Sept. 2 for the season, selling pumpkins, apples, gourds, straw bales, squash, apple cider slushies, soft pretzels and hot cinnamon sugar donuts through Oct. 31. Open daily, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Will close at 4 p.m. Oct. 31, the last day of the season.

  • Starting Labor Day weekend, pumpkins and gourds are for sale Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pumpkin sales will wrap up around Oct. 31.

  • Fall Fest began Sept. 23 and runs every weekend through Oct. 29.

Waynesville: Corn maze and petting farm

  • Waynesville Fall Fest, 7392 East State Route 73.

  • Open Saturdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays noon to 6 p.m., from Sept. 16. through Oct. 29.

  • Activities include a corn maze, big camel mini golf, splash landing expeditions, disc golf, a petting farm and more. General admission is $13 for adults, $11 for children ages 10 and under and free for children 2 and under.
