A bit of the Simpson's hometown is coming to Austin thanks to a Halloween makeover at the bar Nickel City.

The bar, located on 1133 E 11th St., will serve as a Moe's Tavern pop-up until Oct. 31, Eater Austin reported. In the famous "The Simpsons" cartoon, Moe's Tavern is character Moe Szyslak's local bar in the town of Springfield.

The outside of Nickel City now boasts a large "MOE'S" sign as well as the cartoon establishment's signature purple plank exterior and green-and-orange diamond windows. The on-site Delray Cafe food truck has also become the show's iconic fast-food restaurant, Krusty Burger.

Around the bar, visitors can find "Simpsons" character cutouts, a "Simpsons" arcade game and bartenders dressed as "Simpsons" characters.

The bar will also serve special "Simpsons" cocktails. According to Eater Austin, Nickel City will offer "an updated take on its Flaming Moe cocktail, with a 'cherry kough syrup' and whatever Homer’s mix is" as well as a Spicy Marge margarita and more.

The Moe's Tavern makeover has become a tradition for Nickel City, but this year will include a new two-day event featuring former "Simpsons" writer Bill Oakley, according to Eater Austin. Oakley will have meet-and-greets at the bar from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 20.

Nickel City will also host Mexican restaurant Nixta Taqueria on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at its cash-only bar from 7-9 p.m. Proceeds go toward Nixta's staff amid issues with the city that have caused a temporary shutdown of building operations.
